On September 2, Greythorn marketing coordinator Yolanda Torrisi was invited to join David Astle on ABC Radio Melbourne and talk about the most recent exhibition at Greythorn – the Greythorn Gazette from 1960-1962.
The exhibition on public display til 31 December 2024 showcases news and photos of the burgeoning Greythorn Central shopping strip and the neighbourhood springing up in the areas quickly overtaking the orchards, violet farm and wildlife sanctuary.
Yolanda and David talked about the importance of shopping strips to the fabric of neighbourhoods and took calls from Victorian listeners about what they love about their shopping strip.
